If you wish to know more about the culture and history of the Aeolian Islands, in addition to chatting with captain Antonello – as genuinely local as it gets – you can choose to have a licensed guide onboard that speaks fluent English, French, Spanish and Italian.
Elena is an archaeological guide from Rome. She grew up abroad, attending international schools, which explains her proficiency in various languages. She chose to be a tourist guide because of her passion for sharing heritage, which is something Antonello also feels strongly about. She moved to Salina a few years ago and has been studying the history, geology, traditions and nature of the Aeolian Islands for the past 6 years.
